Earlier this week, following their remarks to the UN, President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin held what has been described as a "tense" and “frosty” meeting, with reports that stark differences remain between US and Russian policies over Syria. Yesterday's actions by Russia certainly confirm that report.

Late last week we learned that the cyber attack of computer systems at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) was much worse than was originally disclosed. In fact, OPM has revealed that sensitive information on 21.5 million people was stolen. Once again, this calls in to question the federal government's cybersecurity efforts.
Last week, I joined with my colleagues in the Senate and we passed legislation – in an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote of 98 to 1 - that would give Congress the ability to review an emerging nuclear deal that the Obama Administration is forging with Iran.
