We aren't finished

President Obama made a political decision instead of listening to the American people by vetoing the Keystone XL Pipeline legislation.  The President's decision to play politics doesn't mean the end!  The Pipeline is good for Arkansas and good for America and I will continue to fight for it.

The Keystone XL Pipeline will help create jobs in Arkansas and throughout America.  It will increase our energy security and will decrease our reliance on oil from the Middle East.  President Obama gave into the liberal special interest groups and ignored the American people.

His reason for the veto is ironic given his record of ignoring the Constitution of the United States.  The President told the Senate: "Through this bill, the United States Congress attempts to circumvent longstanding and proven processes for determining whether or not building and operating a cross-border pipeline serves the national interest."

We must continue to send our message to President Obama - We aren't finished - build the Keystone XL Pipeline!

I'm so proud that the U.S. Senate voted 62 to 36 to pass the Keystone XL Pipeline legislation. The House had passed similar legislation on January 9. The American people overwhelmingly support the Keystone XL Pipeline too. Now let's hope the President sees the error of his thinking and signs the legislation instead of vetoing it, as he has threatened.
Last night President Obama delivered his long anticipated speech on immigration. By the end of his speech his intentions were abundantly clear. He believes the Constitution does not apply to him. The President wants to offer amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and he doesn't care if the American people and their elected officials in Congress disagree.
