U.S. Sen. John Boozman made perhaps his final appearance Thursday in the Twin Lakes Area before Election Day, meeting with area emergency responders and accepting a book from the Disabled American Veterans detailing the history of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Republican Senator, who is being challenged by Democratic nominee Conner Eldridge on the Nov. 8 ballot, spent the mid-morning and early afternoon in Baxter County meeting with firemen, law enforcement officers and emergency medical technicians. The visits were part of a weeklong “Every Second Counts” tour that carried the Congressman from Little Rock to Jonesboro to Yellville to meet with emergency responders.
