FORT SMITH, AR

U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) will be in Fort Smith on Thursday to visit with law enforcement, present a Congressional Gold Medal and speak at a banquet.

Boozman will visit the Sebastian County Sheriffs' Office to present a copy of the Congressional Record with an entry he submitted honoring the life of Sebastian County Deputy Bill Cooper who was killed in the line of duty.

The Senator, along with U.S. Representative Steve Womack (AR-03), will also present a Congressional Gold Medal to WWII Civil Air Patrol veteran Ralph Watson.

Later on Thursday, he'll speak at the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation Dinner honoring ArcBest Chairman Judy McReynolds.
