Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Education announce the #ARKidsCanCode Computer Science Enrollment Contest for the 2016-2017 school year.
The contest is part of a continued effort by Hutchinson to promote technology's role in the classroom. Through Governor Hutchinson's Computer Science Initiative, Arkansas schools have seen an increased enrollment in computer science classes.
“I am pleased to announce the #ARKidsCanCode Computer Science Enrollment Contest," Hutchinson said. "This competition is a great way to spur continued gains in the number of Arkansas students taking computer science courses. Competition breeds excellence, and we are excited to see how our schools rise to meet this challenge."
