Explaining that the day was all about providing veterans with what they had earned, U.S. Senator John Boozman served as the keynote speaker and helped cut the ribbon at official ceremony opening the Mountain Home Community Based Outpatient Clinic on Thursday in Mountain Home.

“Our veterans are entitled to the very best,” Sen. Boozman told the crowd of over 100 people who attended the ceremony. “This is so, so, very important: We’re not talking about benefits that are a handout; these are earned benefits, you earned it by your service and you’re due.”

The clinic, located at 759 U.S. Hwy. 62 East Suite 331 in the Twin Lakes Plaza, opened with limited services available on Aug. 1 and started seeing patients the following week. But Thursday was the new clinic’s day in the spotlight.

“I’m very impressed,” Sen. Boozman said after the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “I think that the VA, the contractors, everyone involved with this has worked very hard.”
