U.S. Sen. John Boozman on Tuesday submitted a collection of Arkansas veterans’ oral histories to the Library of Congress for preservation in its Veterans History Project.
Boozman said in a news release he submitted 16 interviews with veterans, some conducted by him and some by Olivia Olson, a Northwest Arkansas resident who participated in a workshop hosted by Boozman’s office.
He also said he submitted a collection of unpublished letters by World War II veteran Augustine “Gus” Fredrich to his wife Barbara. The letters were discovered by family members after Barbara Fredrich’s death.
